NICK VUIJCIC

I went to GUST cause there was a guy from Australia that was going to give a speech, I found out later that this guy has no legs and no arms. At first i was thinking about not going because I knew that I would feel bad when I see this guy, but then one of my friends convinced me to go because it's in GUST fa ra7 ekon gz :p We arrived at GUST and I really did not know what exactly to expect, I did not know how to imagine a person with no limbs. The stage was empty except for two tables in the middle. Suddenly the lights go out and a movie is shown about the story of Nick Vuijcic a man born without arms and legs managing to overcome life’s s**t and just be happy. Nick is the owner of an international organization at the age of 25, he can swim, golf, and type 39 words a minute he is just WOW. I loved Nick and I got the chance to hug him and get a picture with him after the speech. His speech was nothing like I expected, it was AMAZING he was making jokes fidgeting around (using his tiny two toed leg) and jumping. I thought the best parts of his speech were :

- FEAR= False Evidence Appearing Real

- Its so cold I cant feel my hands :p

- You know why I have two toes ? PEACE !

- Failing is just another step towards success.

- If the world doesn’t accept you, get another opinion.

- I don’t know you, but I love you

Film Hindi Kuwaiti :p

I came back home after Al-Kout and decided to have dinner in front of the TV. I was skimming through the channels when i came by MBC MAX where I was surprised to see an Indian movie, but the funny part is that it was imdablaj to Kuwaiti! AHEM SHAY! I continued watching for a bit oo la7atht ena they were using words like shaku! :p Bes ba3dain malat fa ya3ni I changed the channel :D

Al-Kout Hala February

I was at Al-Kout shopping for polo shirts and socks lol, and i saw a huge fuss o za7maaa! so I went to the security guard to see what was going on, and he said in a daft way 'It's a closed area' and i reacted like -.- and said 'I know its a closed area' he laughed, realizing what he just said and replied 'Hala February celebration' I gave him a blank look. February's almost over. :/ ay hala ay ba6ee5? When I stuck around for a bit, I found out it was a typical hala february celebration. you know, the usual: fake creepy-ass barney characters that give you the heeby-jeebies and prizes that cost them only about 50 fils to buy :p

The iPad

I was just itching to see what all the fuss was about with the iPad. So I had a friend
send one over for me to check out. :D
How was it?

Its pretty much like a huge iPod touch. You can view photos (beautifully I might add) , check your email, go online (msn or ebuddy), and use the GPS( just in case you don't already know where you are LOL) . Typing is exactly like the iPod touch and iPhone ; its just on a bigger screen, and it feels more like a keyboard. You know what really caught my eye? It has this unique application only suitable for the iPad called the iBook, which is similiar to a kindle. You can read books on that large screen in a more efficient way than picking up an actual book, which is apparently difficult in this generation. -.-

The only disadvantage was HELLO! WHERE THE HELL IS THE CAMERA?! Illi ygoul we're not in 2010! :/

Actually, the iPad's lack of a camera utility is what's making people choose not to buy it. I mean after all, it is an iPod, only POOF! it's larger! :O

The question here lies. Is the iPad worth buying?
Not really. I'd rather get an iPhone.
I mean after all, the iPad is an iPod touch on steroids.

Above: The iPad comparison to an iPod touch.

Arab Visas cancelled in the U.K

Less than a week ago student visas from several arab countries have been cancelled, why? because they think we are terrorists. The U.K is the second most popular destination for arab students, if this continues i dont think it would be anymore. It is said that four kuwaiti student visas have been cancelled in the past week. We are not going to blow up your country !!

Chelsea coming to Kuwait

A very trusted source of mine has found out that Sheik Ahmad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah head of the committee of football association has met with Carlo Ancelotti on Sunday. Carlo Ancelotti, Chelsea's manager is planning on arranging a friendly match against il "azraq" the Kuwait national team. It is said that the game will take place in April. I hope it happens at least it will prove that we have a good team.
